Security is not created by a product alone. It comes from technology, permissions, responsibilities, documentation and regular review.

Local mail archives become part of an agreed backup concept and can be recovered in an organised way.

Permissions

Each user should have an individual account and permissions should match the real role.

Data and transmission

Encryption, storage and transmission depend on the module. SOFBAC infrastructure uses servers in Hetzner data centres in Germany or the EU.

Responsibility and review

Security requires current contact details, an access removal process and periodic operational review.
